Diploma in Beauty Therapy
Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as beauty therapists to provide a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services including facial treatments, body massage and treatments, hair removal, lash and brow treatments, nail and make-up services. This includes consultation with clients to provide beauty advice, recommend beauty treatments and services, and sell retail skin-care and cosmetic products.
These individuals work relatively autonomously,and are accountable for personal outputs. Their work involves the self-directed application of knowledge and skills with substantial depth in some areas where judgement is required in planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services and techniques.
Work is typically conducted in beauty salons and spas.

For non-Year 12 full-time applicants, the Diploma of Beauty Therapy requires applicants to be at least 18 years of age and to have been out of full-time study for at least 12 months. There are no minimum tertiary entrance requirements for current Year 12 full-time applicants. You will be expected to have suitable language, literacy, numeracy and communication skills needed to undertake your course.
Intakes – If you would like to study the Diploma of Beauty Therapy, you must apply directly to The Centre of Excellence. Initially, you will be required to complete a Student Application form, as well as provide the required documentation, for consideration.
Once the application form has been processed applicants will be required to attend interview to complete the enrolment process.
